Are the sea otters found on the coast the same as a "river otter?" The River Otter is the only otter listed by CA Fish & Game as an animal that may not be taken (shot). There is no exclusive mention of sea otter*.
When 4 wheeling/camping I carry my snake stick (aka 12 gauge). Ab divers could adopt "Otter Sticks" like a nice Winchester bolt action .22 :)
