My kids wanted me to put on a DM patch, but the Bubblemaker is the cutest patch I have ever seen. It also allows me to make fun of the patch-o-matic folks I often see.
I remember last summer at Avalon I was diving with #1 and #2 daughters while the wife supervised the #3 and #4 daughters who were free diving (no weights and shortie wetsuits). When we got out of the water and were getting tanks filled and rehydrating, a young woman (25ish) was walking around in a new dive parka. It had at least 3 prominently displayed PADI OPEN WATER DIVER patches. She was parading around for us wet snot-faced divers to see, although she was not diving. I had a hard time stopping the kids from ridiculing her for her pride in a minimal accomplishment (too much like DIR - he he he). We all laughed at the patch lady and we laugh at patches in general.
