The chlorine ions in the saltwater react with the iron thereby creating Ferrous or Ferric Chloride. FeClx is water soluble, so the Iron is free to react with dissolved oxygen, or i believe, split water and form an iron oxide (rust) either way. As far as i know, the chlorine ions act more as catalysts, and so aren't used up in the process. This means that as long as there is oxygen in the tank, the Fe in solution will react with that oxygen. The short answer is that all of the O2 should be consumed. Of course, if there is a real chemist on the board, perhaps that person can refute or add additional points.
