The Suunto Vyper is slightly more conservative than the PADI dive tables from DSAT Corp., and significantly more conservative than the US Navy/NOAA tables.

I have had no problems down to 173 feet so far. I have learned that some combination of a very slow ascent to 1/2 the max depth, waiting for about a minute there, then to 1/2 of that and waiting a minute again, then 40, 30, 20, and 10 feet following the computer works fine for me.

I think everyone should test out their own computers at gradually deeper depths and gradually longer exposures. That way, you dont put your life into the hands of the dive computer salesman.
