buddy diving presents additional solutions and additional problems to be dealt with, and in the worst case, a double fatality could result, with twice the chances of a double fatality occurring than that of a single fatality.
sorry to hear about your friend, MaxB. interestingly, i noticed that a lot of his diving philosophies are also my own.
his habit of continuing to dive shallow after decompression is actually more decompression time, as long as he were to stay shallow. that is actually seems like a good idea, except for the worry it caused you on your boat.
