I don't think I disagreed really. As Brian said, it might be different
in the Keys with NITROX. That was all that I was observing... I was
disappointed that they were not more on top of it.
Complacency in anything can get you. Just in some things it gets you
worse.
Still, while I do not disparage solo diving for sport diving, 3000 feet
back in a cave does not seem to me to be a sport dive. Have you been able
to confirm that it was solo diving that caused his death? There are a lot
of things that could go wrong that a buddy could not help you with that
far from the surface. Aside from that, I don't think he would have been
there without a buddy if not by choice. The solitude must have been
incredible.
