Good point, but currently, when I dive cold water I've got 20# ditchable (10 per side in weight integrated pockets) and 10 nonditchable. If I had a 6# BP, 6# keel weight, it's only an extra 2# nonditch. And perhaps as Robert said air-trapping could be requiring more weight.
I am actually now considering bullet weights instead of the keel weight, probably 4# total, which would return my ratio to what it is now.
Still trying to figure it all out.
