John, FWIW thats why this subject came up because a few thought that helium benefited red blood cell rigidity and Dr. Bill took exception to this hopeful and inaccurate assertion.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it is the hydrostatic pressure that causes the cell damage and I would assume the more pressure the more damage. I'm not worried about this one iota but I do want the correct info. I know divers that have thousands of dives and they seem just fine to me, so I don't think a few hundred more shallow dives will kill me that much faster.

"The only fact is that we live then we die."

You forgot the taxes.

"Hell, I saw a story last night on the news about a group that doesn't even have to eat food. They just require sun and exercise."

They must be thin and definitely not scuba divers. Do they have a web site?

Steve
