Well, maybe anyone who knows him would understand that, Jim. I don't know John well enough to know that he wouldn't be capable of writing that post; I would actually assume rather the opposite. I know this BBS is kind of clubby and so participants get a lot more exposure to "regulars" than they would just by involvement in the general diving community, so maybe it's my bad for not getting the joke of John's saying it's "off the top of my head."
I am a big fan of citing sources of information; it helps the reader place it in context and evaluate its credibility, so how about this: let's all try to explain to other readers where the info comes from when we post it?
