Yea, we do lots of titanium along with all the so called 'superalloys' (nickel based overpriced stuff). Recently doing oddball titanium alloy 6-2-4-2 and creating specs for cleanliness of filler wire for same.
If only there was some way to make a decent living in recreational diving. Like giving tours of local waters. We almost got involved in underwater plasma welding inside nuc reactors. Cool project, but we were not the low bidder. During some tests of specialized reactor repair robots I offered to dive to see how they were deploying and/or to take videos. The simulated reactors are filled with D.I. water and from the surface you can clearly see what is happening at 80 ffw. The idea got nixed in favor of remote cameras. I thought it would have been fun and the photos would have been cool for the scrapbook.
