Tell them that the Greater Los Angeles Council of Divers is sponsoring a Great American Fish Count (GAFC) lecture on Saturday June 9th at Cabrillo Aquarium Auditorium in San Pedro (about 1 mile from 22nd Street Landing), 1 - 5 p.m. Registration starts at 12:30 p.m.
The speaker will be Dr. Roy Houston of Loyolla Marymount University.
The Lecture is FREE; parking fees may be waived if you tell them you are there for the GAFC lecture.
The auditorium holds a couple hundred, and the presentation is great for all ages. You don't need to be a diver to learn about fish identification. Kids are welcome, as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
