And following up on the other posts.....
- talk to the person who's going to be your instructor, make sure you can get along with them. it's not common, but sometimes a student just doesn't like the instructor.
- ask them how they make sure their students are ready for the open ocean. there's no one right answer, but you should like the answer they give
- find out where the pool and ocean sessions are going to be, especially the ocean sessions. if they only do beach dives - ask yourself if that's the kind of diving you're going to be doing.
