beach diving adds CO2 build up

I have noticed that beach diving, due to the additional effort required to get down the beach, especially with large 120 or multiple smaller tanks, adds to a divers CO2 build up.

The solution may be always to set up a tarp, then load it up, and then take a long rest before going into the water at the beach. Except for OW1 classes, no one seems to ever set up a tarp like this.

Boat diving, where all you need to do is walk up to the step-off point in the middle of the boat, is much less tiring than a beach dive, and therefore the CO2 buildup is significantly less.

The only problem I have with scuba boats is the inevitability of seasicknesses, either between dives or on the way back, for moi.
