I have the cards from PADI. Truly NOTHING was "required". Dive tables were "mentioned" during the four actual hours of classroom attendance and never mentioned after the classroom. The qualifying dives totalled 37 minutes underwater. I will accept that this MUST be the exception among PADI Instructors (we were even advised that surf entry should be done with fins on and sidestepping into the surf by an instructor that later declined our invite to go beach diving stating that he "doesn't beach dive") But the fact that a class was taught in this manner shows that there is room for some internal "Policing" like how about some undercover students? if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to hide.
