we do not here a lot about A.G.E. hits. The following post shows that even with following the rules you can get hit. We all need to be thinking about it along with DCS

I have just come from visiting my wife who took a serious AGE hit Sunday
afternoon. I only want to state that she followed every rule and then
some. She was on a Dolphin and it was the forth dive in two days. I have
downloaded her Nitek3 and there was no alarms or warnings in progress.
First day:
two dives of 20-25 minutes at 110 fsw.
Second day:
two dives of 35 minutes each at 128 fsw.
Deco on 80% at 30,20,10 and no ascent alarms.
High White blood cell count indicates a possible infection in the lungs
may have led to the AGE. She can remember everything (short and long
term), her fine motor control is a little sh*ty. Two table 6 chamber
trips so far. Some cardiac enzymes. Will probably completely resolve
in 4-5 weeks.
