A fellow captain asked me where to find 160' to take a nitrox class to. I asked him who was going to DM for him, and he said the instructor. As far as I know the only DM's in the state certified for over 130' are MHK, JW, WS,and PD. He said the instructor (Padi) told him he would be covered to 165'. Anyone else heard of this, and is nitrox safe at 160'?

IMO, a mix of 25% at 160' gives a PO2 of 1.46 higher percentages could result in CNS toxicity. Strike one. This mix gives an equivalent air depth of 150'. Strike two. So you pick up 10', hardly seems worth it to me.
