Fortunately and miraculously nobody has been hurt YET.
It is our opinion that there is a very significant increase in the abundance of this MOST dangerous shark around Catalina.
The white shark enjoys a recent status as a 'protected species' as does it's natural prey, the California sea lion.

Let me get this right, are you saying we should get rid of these "monsters" so all you spearfisherman will be safe to shoot the smaller non-threatening fish???? Oh and those pesky sea lions, get rid of those smelly beasts too, since they're the ones that are attracting the sharks in the first place. I mean how dare they think they can just swim about and hunt for fish in "our" ocean, the gall of those creatures, maybe we could put up signs and fences around Catalina to make it safe!

It's an ominous formula for disaster. da da da dummmmmmm!!!!
