No teflon . . .

No teflon tape. That fitting is air-tight because of the small o-ring ( # 48511 or 48512 ). Those threads are not designed to have something as thick as teflon tape between them. In order to seat the o-ring you would have to over torque the fitting.

If you have a leak, replace the o-ring, or inspect the hose very carefully.
