Without knowing exact depth and surface intervals and possibly deep safety stops, using nitrox would have helped if you were within 130ft. Deep safety stops (either Pyle or WKPP style) would've helped you offgas faster tissues so you wouldn't have accumulated as much nitrogen. Hope this helps. I know I feel better after multiple dives by doing more stops.
