It is not their job to watch for poaching. And there is more reason for them to be at the public beach than the divepark. They need to be where they can best respond to the most likely emergencies.

I do not know what I would have done if I had had the guys brag to me about their poaching, but I at least would have called the game wardens and asked for instructions. Maybe the sheriff's office could have been brought into the act. As was said below, once the bugs were rescued there was no evidence of a crime. It is lucky that bugs can live through so much, or the poaching would have killed them. Just think if they had only brought up the tails and kept their mouths shut! Lousy Poachers!

I think that public flogging would be a good deterrent -- along with losing their gear.
