It was a couple from USC. Tamara McCallister and Roy Stoddard went out on their kayaks on 1/26/89 from Malibu. 24 hours later, the kayaks were found tied together 50 miles north. McCallister was found 2 1/2 days later with a 13" gouge in her left thigh as well as other bites and bruised hands. There was no water found in her lungs, so she did not drown. Stoddard's body was never found. They are the last known fatalities of a Great White attack in California.
