WOW!!!!! I'm appreciative of the response rate we have received with respect to the notion of a DIR demo at Casino Point.. In all fairness to Terry May, he suggested this over a year ago and I shyed away from it, but giving credit where it is due, it was Terry that pushed for this opportunity.. Kudos to you Terry!!!!!!

In any event, Terry and I will be at Casino point the above referenced weekend.. FTR, I've invited John Walker, Kendall Raine, Fred Colburn, Pat Farina and Jeff Highley ( all guys from our team) and while several of them are instructors it's important to note that this is NOT, in any way, shape or form, any type of certification class, program or directive and ONLY certified diver's may get in the water with us.. This is simply an opportunity for the local DIR diving contingency to avail itself upon the local diving folks to help demonstrate what and how we do what we do. Our focus will be STRICTLY recreational diving...

There will be NO charge for this demo and I plan on bringing 8 sets of BP, wings and weight pouches ( everything else you will need to supply yourself) and we will divide the dives amongst the above diver's.. We will do NO more than three diver's per escort and the focus isn't going to be on a sightseeing tour, it is going to be focused on working out your bouyancy, your trim, your finning and your overall diving technique...

Thanks to all the people that contacted me privately and I look forward to meeting/diving with you...

It's important to note, that EVERYONE is invited and you do NOT need to dive with our/DIR gear, however I will NOT get into the water with anyone diving bungee wings and/or upstream regulators.. My thinking is that these are potentially deadly devices and I'm not interested in being involved in that kind of diving, but short of that anything goes, even force fins ;-)... I hope to show you why we recommend what we recommend, and short of a deadly device we'll be fine and I'll note we will not be going any deeper than 40' or so, and that the bouyancy skills will be done at 20'.. If you can keep the bouynacy under control there you'll be fine.. We'll do the skills at ~19' and see how badly and/or why bouyancy and trim is key???

Also, there is a PERFECT hole in the Sujac if we get that deep that will demonstrate much of what we keep talking about...

A lot of you have taken (cheap ;-)) shots at us, but we are willing to put ourselves out there, donate out time and provide free of charge what we preach and the only thing I would ask is that you forget ALL of the flaming that goes on here and show up with an open mind....

And even if we have flamed the hell out of each other, we have a rule on our team and it's ego's get left at the dock....

Hope we see you...
