yes, i know it will be painful, but if you try it with Irwindale Spring Water(oops, i mean coors light) on room temperature blocks that approximate the shape and size of ice, i am willing to bet that you will see the same degree of effervescence.
Keep in mind however, that trying this experiment with Corona, dos Equuis, Pacifico, or Red Dog would be just plain criminally wasteful.
