Ken, the majority opinion on this Board is that all the certifying agencies except GUE aren't worth the cards they certify, so why would renewal and/or recertifying improve the quality and safety of the divers who would have to "re-up", even if they were totally honest with their log books? The level of diving mediocrity would still remain, and that's the core issue of concern. Yes, it would provide the instructional staffs with another source of income, no it would NOT improve the diving.
