don't even get it hot, or else it will taste like bitter cardboard. Do rinse /w/ COLD fresh water tho. 'tis the season right now!
I don't know if the purple ones are worth taking, but i have observed a dearth of large purple urchins off of PV at places like old Marineland, Cardiac Hill or Xmas tree. could be someone is taking the larger purples.
