It was nice to get wet after 2 months down time. Friday was nice at Anacapa, a little fog, but that burned off except in the channel between Anacapa and Santa Cruze. Water temp was a nice 63, execpt on the second dive, where we had a cold thermocline. First dive at goldfhish bowl suprized me. Almost no kelp, but a nice strong current was running, so a major lack of fish. On the second dive, a nice 3-4ft bayray went sliding by about 20ft away during our decent. A bit more kelp, and lots more swiming things. The third dive at landing cove had lots of kelp. Got buzzed by a harbor seal, but it didn'tsay around long enough to pose for a pic. Lots of sea life was there for our fish counters to practice their counts. Vis was runing about 30-45ft on all three dives. The thermalcline on dive 2 gave a awsome shimer to the water. To me the only down side, was the Spectre had a full boat load, instead of the normal friday 15 to 20 divers. It was great for the the crew. Good food, good crew as always.
