and I am NOT saying it is a ripoff! I have no doubt that a lot of $ went into testing development etc. but for me...5k is four months diving in the caves and oceans of Yucatan and QuintanaRoo. I do hope as popularity increases and production costs level off that there will be an appreciable drop in the price, but for now as the beautiful places in the world become parking areas and refuse dumps for big hotels it IS more important to see the pristine than to have the Toy.
