That's your first mistake... No dive planned on air to 140' is a well planned dive.. That's TDI and PADI crap..
If you want to get on here and make your case please do so.. Start by explaining why teaching deep air is a good idea????
165' to air is about as dumb of an idea as I can think of and you are teaching it...
