Are you now calling kelp OE??? I'd think kelp was
qualitatively different from what I have traditionally
heard called OE, that is caves and wrecks. It is 'over
head' but should never be able to prevent a competent
diver from reaching the surface directly. Are you
suggesting following the Thirds rule in kelp?
As for your SPG suggestion, would that require you
to look down anytime you want to see your guages?
Then if your compass is on your console, could there
then be a problem with swimming a compass
heading?
Also, couldn't a similar situation arise while ascending
and trying to watch both your depth guage and your
ascent surroundings?
