I can see where some may believe it and I think JJ would be in an even worse position if he tried to hide his affiliation.. FTR, JJ and Lamaar are good friends and I believe Lamaar will vouch for the fact that JJ and George did in fact go to Lamaar and ask for certain changes that Lamaar refused to do citing profit matgins and market value.. In other words he didn't see recouping the investment based upon the belief that the market, outside the WKPP, would never agree to pay for the increased spec's..
So the reality is that Halcyon got started out of necessity because the gear was needed, but not available commercially..
JJ has been very open about his affiliation and anyone that has met JJ and/or knows him will vouch that he isn't tayloring his comments to back up his gear, his mind is made up with respect to what is needed so he makes the gear that satifies the need...
