Yah, I never liked them, but I have used them in coral areas and they seemed OK, even let me see the guages OK. Really, the waist clip do seem pretty good, but my console has never been a problem to consider.
..... Actually, we may be talking of different things. You're thinking of one of those plastic clips that will hold multiple hoses. I'm thinking of a material and velcro tab on the BC. I don't even know if they make them that way anymore.
Good to hear from you. By the way, you keep talking about Pt. Loma. While the sewer pipe and three fingers are pretty good, I mostly have thought La Jolla was better than Pt Loma. You might want to try to get over that way. I can give you some suggestions if you want.
