I really like the people in a lot of stores and bear none any ill will (except Blue...nah none)but as you say for an activity that all the instructing bodies agree is a life support situation how do so many companies come up with so much useless and even dangerous gear and PRACTISES. It is stunning and I have done that very thing at Casino Point (many other places too) and had to really work to restrain myself from offering some tips or advice I do anyway sometimes). They mostly (like seahunt) seem to think if its not what they do now or didn't stumble on to it by themselves it is bad or malicious info
