Not once, in any of the classes I assisted and/or witnessed, did the instructor recommend any specific gear
Then the students should have been refunded their money...
They pay for information and the instructor should make a recomendation, should tell them why this is good or why this is bad.. Students shouldn't have to rely on the advice of the dive shop monkey when they are paying an instructor...
