Thanks Don it is a good story that seems accurate and not overly sensentionalized but the article makes it sound like GW's have Catalina surrounded. Kind of reminds me of the movie Jaws and Catalina has turned into Martha's Vineyard. I think I'll continue to hunt with my camera and not the spear. I dove the west end on the third dive Sunday hoovering at the edge of the kelp 6' from the bottom waiting and watching. Saw a curious Shovelnose Guitar Fish that checked me out for 3 minutes and a large Batray no GW's.
