I may of not have explained this correctly. My understanding was that the diver had already aimed and was ready to shoot because he was originally going for the school of yellowtail that was between the shark and the diver. So when the shark came out in the clear, the diver only had to pull the trigger to make the shot. I don't think there was any aiming involved, just a quick pull of the trigger and a panicked ascent to the surface.
