Helium has relieved most of the issues here, the buddy system takes care of the remainder.
I see your point SH, and Im not really disagreeing with your essay, but I would like to bring up the fact that 130' is considered UNSFAE using rec systems in accordiance with DIR, 100' and less is where they draw the line. Also, just where does this 130' definition come from and what data backs it as a recommended sport depth? i dont believe there is any info on that.
