While I would like to encourage all of you to email Rep. Waxman, and your state Representatives, I implore you to join me in an actual letter writing campaign.
Politics is a lot about statistics, and I heard somewhere that staff generally count a single hard copy letter the equivalent of 50 emails. It indicates a willingness to spend time (and money), rather than just sit down and hack out a quick note. Also, make sure you sign your name (actually sign by hand).
