1. you can turn your back and hunch into a ball, and hope your tank takes the full impact of the bite.
2. you can draw your pole spear and stick it in the nose and use that as leverage to push the fish away from you. a sharks nose is very sensitive and it should dart away from you if you stick it there.
i dont like spearguns. they are dangerous to you and to everybody on the boat. a pole spear is much better. i rarely go into the water without mine.
