I was on a boat dive in Hawaii once and they put a hydrophone into the water and blasted Top 40 music throughout the dive. I swam at least 100 yards away from the boat, but still couldn't get away from it. When I got back on board, I told the captain how annoying that was. It really spoiled my first tropical diving experience.
