Yes the "German" resident was trying to dive the Yukon when she got separated but the accident had nothing to do with "wreck" diving, as it seemed you were implying, as she never got there. The accident could have happened at any dive spot in the area with similar depth. Implying that the Yukon was to blame seems a bit foolish.
As far as near misses, of course. When 75% of the certified traffic in SD is going to one spot that’s where the incidents are going to start happening. The incidents are unfortunately a sign of the times, the Yukon is just providing the high profile stage.
