As far as the hunting, divers rarely make an impact. Surprisingly, from what I know of reef ecology, perhaps the most damaging activity may be the urchin harvest. They are the nurseries of the reef.
As for a diving methodology, it does exist and I promised Michael I would describe it. POV can be everything. It can make it hard to see your toes, but they are there and you can tell it, cuz you don't fall over. You may be amused at what I figured out. Remember, I'm clever enough to come up with all kinds of neet things and this is about diving, something I am well tuned to. This method exists and is far more widely used than DIR ever will be. I can put into words what people know, but cannot express and any idea becomes far more powerful when articulated into words.
