OK, I have no firsthand knowledge of this, but we were talking about FFM's at the diveshop Tuesday (stopped by to borrow a non-Poseiden reg for class).

The diveshop owner also dives commercially on occasion. He said that part of his FFM training was eating an apple while underwater. He said the positive pressure created a "bubble" and that it was easy to do.

So it's all hearsay, but I was impressed. Of course, it's really easy to impress the ignorant (myself included, bet wth do I know?).

Cool story, anyway. He did mention not to try it with the non-pp masks. Although he indicated that all the non-pp mask was a relatively new item, trying to lower the price point. His AGA is non-military, and fully PP. Again, just mindlessly parroting back what I heard. Anyone got a cracker?
