I was very surprised by the results of Terry's study. 41.37% found deep air to be moderately safe. 85% felt that with enough repetitive
exposure, narcosis effects on the body and mind can be safely mitigated. 94% believe they could safely handle narcosis. 82% have dived deep air solo. 87% use air for their deco gas. The average number of dives below 220 feet per diver was 22. 85% felt that if proper and safer breathing gasses were readily available and at a cost
not considered prohibitive, they would seek out additional training to utilize those gasses instead of using straight air for deep dives?
