Do the 2/2 program. Boat diving is easier but more expensive, beach diving is more difficult but cheap. You will want to get the beach training for two reasons:
It has a tendency to hone your navigation skills, compass screw up means longer surface swims where as with boat diving many have the “close enough” mentality.
If you ever decide to go beach diving you’re going to want to have surf entry skills, skills that are best taught right off the bat.
Anytime you have the option in a class to get a more rounded education I suggest you take the opportunity. It’s not always the easiest way but may prove to be beneficial somewhere in your diving career.
