Bravo Body Glove!
Poachers, in our opinion, the lowest known form of life, use any means; net, spear or dynamite to break the law.
These two latest crimes enrage the diving community. Strict adherence to fish and game laws and conservation of our marine resources has been the cornerstone of our sport and has been a fundamental part of our club's constitution,
since our inception, over 50 years ago.
Therefore, the Long Beach Neptunes will be posting a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the culprit(s) responsible for these outrageous acts. The reward will be increased as the club's treasury will allow.
Conservation efforts, such as the restriction of gill netting and ban on taking of black (giant) seabass has resulted in a remarkable increase in the numbers of fish, including white seabass, seen in the last few years. We, the skindiving
community, will not stand for any abuse of our marine environment.
