I haven't stayed at the Lone Oak for a while. Below is what they advertise on the web. I have stayed more recently at the Travel Lodge up the street for $79 - diver discount rate. (You need to call the motel, not the national 800 # to get that rate.) "Special events" in the Summer have been driving up Monterey rates to absurd levels. I canceled an August trip on the M.E. due to high rates during the annual Concorde d'Elegance. Tha't one of the reasons that I finally broke down and put a shell on my truck.

ROOM RATES: OCTOBER - APRIL
Queen Bed - $50-$54 + Tax (Sunday through Thursday)
Queen Bed - $66-$102 + Tax (Friday and Saturday)

ROOM RATES: MAY - SEPTEMBER
Queen Bed - $54-$84 + Tax (Sunday through Thursday)
Queen Bed - $82-$110 + Tax (Friday and Saturday)

* Holidays and special events - Please call for rates.
