California diving includes activities that Florida divers never experience. Until you've climbed down a 300' cliff, only to hike another half mile in full gear plus hunting or photo gear, fought your way through pounding surf just to dive in near zero vis, heavy surge and water temps into the 40s, you have only swum with the pretty fishes.
