backplate never thicker than 1/4 inch and to show how NEW scare you...no STA is needed now! I have hardpacks dating back to my White Stag brand (Very old) and I use the BP because of LOWER profile!!
REsearch means not "I did it once and thats enough" it means SEARCH AGAIN to seek NEW knowledge.
No way you can say anything, short of freediving (or lying), has less drag than a 18lb Pioneer Batwing on a stainless or aluminum backplate with one SPG!
