Reduced air consumption?

If you are not quite at neutral depth, you will need to swim at an angle which would effectively increase drag as much or more than a well designed BC. Don't you think this would waste as much or more air? Also it must require finning to control your ascent which would consume even more air. Now to descend, you would probably need to pike dive and swim down, again using more air.

Have fun at Begg Rock.
