Michael, simply put, lack of BCs is not what's killing divers.
In the hunting circles are some of the most devoted and capable divers in the water. You may not know of them. We do. They regularly do things that most divers just wouldn't consider and they do them with both grace and acceptable safety. These are the guys that the hunters consider great divers. Many, including who I consider the best Sport hunter, Shel, do not use BC's. Sorry, but these divers have too many years and too much experience for their methods to be ignored by the people that dive that way.
The hunters push Sport Diving to its most extreme and they aren't the ones dying. You could learn a thing or two from the huntrs.
